How a memorial opens.
Two halves. While you’re here, you set it up and give your family logins. After you’re gone, they open it themselves, with a one-day window in which any of them can stop it. No one at 4everbe is told, and no one at 4everbe decides.
You set it up.

Open the memorial
You pay $49 once, and you are the owner. Nothing is public until you say so.
- Step 02
Give your family logins
Invite admins, who can do everything, and managers, who add recordings and approve tributes. Name one person as your successor.
- Step 03
Fill it
Record short films, add photographs and letters, and seal greetings for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings, with a date or with the date left open.
- Step 04
Choose who sees it
Keep it private, or publish it at its own private address. Either way, it can only be found by the people you choose.
Your family opens it.

A family member reports it
Anyone with a login reports your death from the family desk, with a note and, if they have one, a document.

The 24-hour window
The memorial waits one day. A letter with a stop button goes to you and to every family member with a login. Three things can happen.
- Someone presses stopNothing changes. The memorial stays exactly as it was.
- A second family member confirmsThe memorial opens at once, for when the funeral is near.
- Nobody presses anythingAfter 24 quiet hours, the memorial opens by itself.

It opens
Your successor becomes the owner. Admins and managers keep their logins. The memorial stays online at the same address.

A settling day
Nothing is delivered in the first 24 hours after it opens, so a mistake can still be undone.
- Step 09
The greetings go out
Each sealed greeting is delivered on its date, every year if you chose that. A greeting with no date waits until a family member adds one.
At any time. The owner can download everything or close the memorial. Anything reported comes down immediately. Nobody at 4everbe is needed for any step above.
