Ralph Edwards was born in Columbus in 1957, the son of Harold and Margaret. He grew up sweeping floors at Anderson’s Hardware, served in the U.S. Army, and came home to marry Anne in 1982. For nearly thirty years he taught history at Whetstone High School, where students knew him as the teacher who stayed late. He died in 2024, surrounded by his family.

Ralph's story

Ralph Edwards was born in Columbus in 1957, the son of Harold and Margaret. He grew up sweeping floors at Anderson’s Hardware, served in the U.S. Army, and came home to marry Anne in 1982. For nearly thirty years he taught history at Whetstone High School, where students knew him as the teacher who stayed late. He died in 2024, surrounded by his family.
